I have been doing patchwork since 2007 and have in the past 2 years started making personalised gifts for friends that has led to creating gifts to order. Cushions, bags and bunting can be personalised with names, dates etc., for weddings, births or even advertising for your business. I love creating and putting colours together to create something original that will hopefully be loved by the eventual owner!

50th Birthday Surprise!!
My daughter Molly is going to her friends mum's surprise 50th Birthday party on Saturday 2nd February 2013. She wanted me to make her a cushion in her favourite colour mint green, and she choose the little birds which I had done before as she said it is her favourite one! I made a special label on the back too which will hopefully remind her of the special day!

Happy 18th Birthday Djuna
As I have finished all commissions I had before Christmas, it has given me some time to make some presents as gifts from me. The first one I have completed is this one for my son's girlfriend who turns 18 on 27th January, sharing my birthday as well. I have used the little floral fabric with the pink and orange flowers which I know she likes, as I had made her one including this fabric with just patchwork squares before, and picked out the colours from this to do the applique shapes, then tying in the mocha spot fabric for the initial around the edge too. The cushion is based on a pattern I received for Christmas, I really love it so will be using this again in the not too distant future as I have some more presents to get for friends birthdays!
